Some of the methods that you can use essential aromatherapy oils include absorption into the skin via massaging, bathing or even compressing it right into the skin. Absorption through smell both your nose and your mouth and finally through though inhaling them by a diffuser; all of these methods are practical and can be used.

Aromatherapy can help you with a number of things and can truly help improve your mind, soul and body in the long run.

It is that season again, where you are probably lying out in the sun (which is terrible for your skin if you do it too long!) and getting yourself some sunburns in the process. Do you know that there are many different and natural ways that you can treat sunburns and that Aromatherapy can actually really help you in the long run? Whenever you are treating sunburns, the first thing that you should know is that you should quickly immerse the burn in cold water and add in a few drops of essential oil. That will honestly give you immediate relieve, which we all know is important when dealing with a sunburn.

Lavender oil is going to be the most effective treatment for sunburns as it gives off a very nice cooling effect for all of the minor burns, which is exactly what sunburns are. You can also mix Aloe Vera juice and lavender oil and apply the solution to your sunburn, as aloe promotes cell growth and decreases the pain. Oil that you can use is peppermint oil, as it is known for its cooling agent’s right inside the oil.

There are a few other essential oils that can be used, including chamomile, rose, tea tree, geranium and marjoram, however, the two listed above are the most popular!
